Note: If possible, use the
"From Below" procedure to remove and install the front drive unit
(refer to procedure).

Remove Front Drive Unit
Position the support jack on top of the front
crossmember and secure the 2 screws to the front crossmember.

Installation
Use alcohol wipes to clean the mating surfaces
between the RH motor mount and drive unit.
Ensure that the support jack is secured to the
front crossmember.

To open the front trunk, ensure Model S is in Park, and
then do one of the following before pulling the hood
open:
Touch Controls > Frunk on the touchscreen.
Double-click the front trunk button on the key fob.
Touch the front trunk button in the mobile app.

Position Switch Harness - Door Handle (Replace)
Installation
Install the microswitch harness.
Reinstall all components other than the door backing. Leave the
harnesses loose.
Note: If performing this procedure on a
rear door handle, do not install the lower rear
screw for the motor bracket.
