Tesla Model S: Assembly - Cover - Footwell - RH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Fully open the passenger door.
  2. Move the passenger seat rearward for access.
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the footwell cover to the dash (torque 2 Nm).

  4. Carefully release the footwell cover from the dash and disconnect it from the rear lugs (x2). Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).
  5. Disconnect the footwell lamp harness connection.

  6. Remove the footwell cover.
Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Fully open the passenger door. Move the passenger seat rearward for access. Remove the LH center console closeout extension (refer to procedure). Release the clips (x4

    Removal Fully open the driver's door. Move the driver's seat rearward for access. Remove the RH center console closeout extension (refer to procedure). Release the clips (x2)

      Removal Remove the LH and RH lower seat cushions (refer to procedure). On each side of the vehicle, remove the screw that secures the closeout panel to the seat frame (torque 5 Nm). Remove the panel from the vehicle.

     Head Supports

    The front seats include integrated head supports that you cannot adjust. The rear outboard seating positions include an adjustable head support that can be raised/lowered or removed. The head support should always be raised and locked into position (so that the center is aligned with the cente
