Replace the driver's seat trim and foam assembly (refer to
procedure).
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

- North America: Replace the
passenger's seat base assembly (refer to procedure).
- Europe/Asia Pacific: Replace the
passenger's seat trim and foam assembly (refer to
procedure).
Installation

To keep Model S ready to Summon and reduce the time
it takes to warm up, turn on Standby Mode. Touch
Controls > Autopilot > Standby Mode. When Standby
Mode is turned on, you can conserve Battery energy by
disabling Standby Mode at these locations:
Exclude Home - Disables Standby Mode at
Removal
Remove the B-pillar lower trim (refer to procedure).
Disconnect the impact sensor harness connector.
Remove the bolt that secures the impact sensor to the B-pillar
(torque 8 Nm).
Caution: The bolt is left-hand threaded / reverse
threaded.
