Tesla Model S: Reservoir - Windshield Washer (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the rear center underhood apron (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the plastic rivet that secures the reservoir neck to the suspension shock tower.

  3. Remove the washer pump from the reservoir (refer to procedure).
  4. Remove the reservoir level sensor (refer to procedure).
  5. Release the washer jet feed tube from the reservoir.
  6. Release the clips (x2) that secure the harness to the reservoir.

  7. Remove the fasteners (x3) that secure the reservoir to the body of the vehicle.

  8. Remove the reservoir from the vehicle by maneuvering it through the wheel well.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Remove the front LH upper wheel arch liner (refer to procedure). Position a container to collect any spillage. Disconnect the level sensor connector.

    Removal Use the touchscreen to set the wipers to Service Mode. Press one wiper arm clip and release the blade. Remove the wiper blade from the wiper arm.
