Tesla Model S: Pivot Lock - Seat back - 2nd Row Seat - RH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove rear seat back rest assembly (refer to procedure)
  2. Remove E-clip securing pivot lock.

    Pivot Lock - Seat back - 2nd Row Seat - RH (Remove and Replace)

  3. Slide pivot lock from backrest frame.
Installation Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure). Depressure the air suspension system (refer to procedure). In the front left wheel well, remove the front portion of the lower wheel arch liner (refer to procedure). Release the fitting from the front left air spring (

    Removal Remove the ankle catcher (refer to procedure). Remove the LH and RH condenser ducts (refer to procedure). Remove the plastic rivets (x3) that secure the center louver assembly. Note: The following image shows the center louver assembly from the rear.
