Tesla Model S: LF Antenna - RH - A Post (Remove and Replace)

Warning: If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure)
  2. Remove RH front wheel arch liner for access (refer to procedure)
  3. Locate LF antenna and disconnect harness connector.
  4. Remove screws (x2) securing LF antenna to body (torque 8 Nm).

  5. Remove LF antenna from vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

    Removal Remove the instrument panel side cover assembly (refer to procedure). Remove the screws (x2) that secure the antenna to the side cover (torque 1 Nm).

    How It Works The traction control system constantly monitors the speed of the front and rear wheels. If Model S experiences a loss of traction, the system minimizes wheel spin by controlling brake pressure and motor power. By default, the traction control system is on. Under normal conditions,
